Location and facilities were brilliant. We wanted a quiet spot with lovely view for some peace and tranquility, and thats exactly what we got.

Cleanliness, comfort, facilities (brochures on local sights, lovely lounge to relax in, beautiful garden, ample parking) all great.

Breakfast was amazing - Paul and Louise were happy to cater for our dietary requirements.

All that makes this a highly recommended place to stay, but on top of all that, Paul and Louise were just the most amazing hosts. Always happy to help with odd things here and there (e.g. fresh milk in the room) and advice on things to see and do in the area. We took their advice on loads of things (dinner recommendations, local sights, special landmarks, pottery shops) and were not disappointed. We're now planning a return trip with the wider family.

Wonderful hosts, beautiful views, quiet location, not too far off the main road.

Very nicely decorated, comfortable rooms with fantastic bathrooms.

We enjoyed sitting by the garden in the evening with a glass of wine, enjoying the view across the valley.

We are hesitant about giving an excellent review as we would like to keep this little gem for ourselves. However, Chris and Maria deserve better :). We had a more than excellent stay in Tan Y Foel. The room including bathroom was well kept. The staff were friendly and made sure to give their guests the best experience possible. They provided help when needed and gave suggestions for things to do in the neighborhood. Apart from this, the breakfast was outstanding. More than recommended, and we have placed Tan-Y-Foel on our 'visit again list'. 

Tips for other travellers
Great hikes starting from Betws-Y-Coed, several castles and Snowdonia (for starters). Good local restaurants available (make sure to book ahead).

We booked a room here at the last minute. It was such a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere to come back to at the end of the day. Chris and Maria were Perfect hosts. Excellent service the whole way through from arrival to departure. Idyllic location on the hillside with stunning views and just a ten-minute drive to Betws Y Coed. It was the perfect base for a weekend getaway. We will definitely return.

Maria & Chris were absolutely wonderful hosts during my stay in Northern Wales. Their place is very well kept and organized, with great breakfast each morning prepared by Chris. Being there for photography, it was a breath of fresh air knowing that Maria is also into photography. She was more than happy to share locations around the country side that one would normally miss without the knowledge of a local. Highly recommend Tan y Foel as a place to stay if you are visiting the Snowdonia/Northern Wales region, you won't be disappointed.

If you're traveling in North Wales, a stay at Tan y Foel Country Guest House should be at the top of your list. A stunning property, gracious hosts, and a delicious breakfast make staying at Tan y Foel a real treat. The hosts were helpful in suggesting nearby walks and restaurants and the location is perfect for visiting so many beautiful places in North Wales.

Bring your walking boots .The area has outstanding views. 
Bodnant Garden (National Trust ) is also a must.

Excellent hosts, answered the phone extremely fast when we was lost before arriving, greeted us at the car in the pouring rain when we arrived, breakfast was made promptly for 8am as we had a long day ahead, email information was great for before we came.
